the hive

the hive is The Positive Experience’s signature support group that runs in 16 week sessions for Black women living with HIV or AIDS, newly diagnosed or living long term with HIV or AIDS, in metro-Memphis and surrounding communities. Programming consists of a blend of therapist led support group meetings alongside social and skill building workshops.

Participants in the hive have access to weekly social and emotional support as well as counseling sessions to eliminate isolation, help process the emotions around HIV & AIDS and to learn coping and communication strategies to reduce stigma and fear.
